BamSEC Pro costs $69 a month, billed annually, which comes to $828 a year per user. That is the only price BamSEC publishes. BamSEC Enterprise, the team plan with consolidated invoicing, usage reporting and priority support, has no listed price and sends you to an AlphaSense trial request instead, because BamSEC is now part of AlphaSense.
There is also a free BamSEC account. It lets you read filings in BamSEC's cleaner viewer, but the tools most people pay for, such as full-text search across every company, downloading tables to Excel, earnings call transcripts and all-company alerts, sit behind Pro.
This page sets out what each plan includes as of October 2026, the one public contract record we found for BamSEC licenses, how the $828 compares with the tools around it, and when a written research card is the better use of the same budget.

The short answer
How much does BamSEC cost?
BamSEC Pro costs $69 a month billed annually, so $828 a year per user, according to the BamSEC pricing page in October 2026. BamSEC Enterprise for teams has no public price and is quoted through AlphaSense, which now owns BamSEC. A free account exists for reading filings, without search, Excel downloads or transcripts.
Why it works
What actually decides a BamSEC bill
Pro is one price, but only on an annual contract
BamSEC publishes one number, $69 a month, and the same line says "billed annually". In practice you pay $828 up front for a year per user. We found no month-to-month option on the pricing page, and a competitor's comparison from 2025 describes BamSEC as annual only. The trial is the place to decide. Third-party listings describe it as about a week, and the pricing page sends you to sign up rather than stating a length. Use that week on a real task, such as pulling the segment tables for five companies into Excel, rather than browsing, because the renewal is a year, not a month.
Enterprise means an AlphaSense conversation
The Enterprise column has no price. Its button goes to an AlphaSense trial request, and what it adds over Pro is administrative: one invoice for the team, usage reporting and priority support. Expect the quote to depend on seat count and on whether the AlphaSense rep proposes moving you onto the wider AlphaSense platform, which our AlphaSense cost guide puts at five figures a seat. If you only want BamSEC for five analysts, say so in writing and ask for the per-seat price on BamSEC alone, then compare it with five Pro seats at $828 each, or $4,140 a year.
A federal buyer shows the team-size bill
The one public record of a BamSEC purchase is a NIST order for the CHIPS Program Office, which used BamSEC to read SEC filings and transcripts of semiconductor companies applying for CHIPS funding. The order was $10,400 for twelve months. At the $828 list price that is about twelve and a half Pro seats, though the record does not say how many licenses it bought or whether Enterprise terms applied. Four months in, the office cancelled the subscription and returned the full amount. Treat $10,000 a year as a realistic figure for a team of about ten to twelve, and expect a negotiated rate below list.

The BamSEC pricing page shows Pro at "$69 / month" with "billed annually" and an Enterprise column that reads "BamSEC is now part of AlphaSense". BamSEC joined AlphaSense in July 2024 through AlphaSense's purchase of Tegus, which had bought BamSEC in 2021. In USAspending, NIST (the CHIPS Program Office) placed purchase order 1333ND25PNB020156 with AlphaSense on May 27, 2025 for "BamSEC licenses" at $10,400 for June 2025 to May 2026, after a competed request that drew two offers, then cancelled it in full on September 22, 2025. The record names no seat count.
